| My many many apologies for such a huge delay for the release of
LLMSv2, I have been occupied with University and so had to put development
on the backburner. But, I'm back with avengeance. LLMSv2 Alpha is now released
as GLLMS, and is now under the GPL
(I am really looking for people interested in helping out, if you're interested, let me know).
I've also got a new webhost, easily.co.uk, who have always had the domain name, but the
site is now hosted there. For this, I've rewritten parts of the site, making it a bit more
dynamic. Should work better in Netscape now too, it had a few problems before. |

hopefully get some further promotion for the site. If you intend

| There is now a mirror hosted at btinternet.com. This mirror gives me a nice lot of

| I have now registered the

I have uploaded to the new server a work-in-progress manual for
LLMS V2. This gives an idea of the general structure of the new

| LLMS V2 is progressing nicely, I've added a lot of new
features. The database is far better laid out now. I am currently
working on the browse features, then I'll write some code to
import old LLMS databases and I'll release what I have so far for

| 08/07/00 Update (At Last!!) |
| With University I haven't had the chance to work on my
programs much. But, the year has ended and so now it's time to
put to good use what I've learnt! Since I've had so many
suggestions for new features for LLMS, I am now going to start
work on LLMS V2, a complete rewrite from the ground up, with
loads of new features and faster database code. So, now is
the time to let me know if there's anything you'd really like to
see. Post your suggestions to the new forum I've set up, also
post there if you have a problem that you need fixed or find a
bug. If you would like to know when new releases are available,
join the mailing list. Along with updating the page to use better
tables, is added a ToDo section, where details of plans and bugs
can be found. Hope you like it! |

| MP3Catalog has gone through a name change, and is now called
AudioCatalog. This is due to a conflict in names between
mine and another program, and the addition of support for CD
Audio and custom search patterns (eg now search for wav, mid,
etc). Also added in this version, fully customisable output
templates, support for Extended M3U, CDPlayer.ini import and
reference. |

| I have uploaded the new version of my Library Loan Management System, now featuring
Multiple copy support. Also added multi language support.
Currently there are no other languages, but I'm looking for
people interested in translating to their language. Please contact me if you intend
to do so. Translating is relatively straightforward, just
changing the captions in a text file. |

| After updating the page to use cascading style sheets, I
noticed that there were some display problems in Netscape that made it look ugly.
Hopefully, these are now fixed. If you use Netscape as your
browser and you have visited the page before, please be sure to
reload the pages you have visited. I also added MP3Catalog and
LLMS to the menu on the left. The SeanSoft web page now fully
conforms to the HTML 4.0 Standard, and has completely valid CSS,
which is what the new icons at the top mean. Look out for a new
version of LLMS soon, featuring multiple copies and
multi-language support |

| There is a new version of the LLMS system available, with
better backup/restore and additional book information fields.
There is also a new MP3Catalog with many new features, including
ID3v2 support, and ID3v2 viewer, automatic display of associated
pictures (either from the ID3v2 tag or from a directory), custom
icons, Tip of the day, and many more. The Website is also
modified so the pages now use style sheets, and there are
seperate pages for MP3Catalog and
LLMS. |

| Yet another new version, this time there are cosmetic changes
to the menus, and teachers can now browse both users and cards.
When browsing users, extra details are given (eg when a card is
overdue, it says so) and card expiry dates are now shown by
default. Users can now get information about themselves, which
tells them if their card has expired and if they have overdue
books. |

| There is a new version of the Library program available. I
have also mirrored it at Xoom for possibly faster downloads.
There is now a full setup version available, including all
runtime files needed. If you have problems with the other
version, then try this. Theres a few new features as well.
MP3Catalog should be here over the weekend. |

| If you get an error message reporting "Error# 429. Activex
component can't create object" when running the Library Loan
Management System, then I have traced this down to not having
Microsoft DAO installed. This can now be downloaded from the
downloads page. I am now working on making installation scripts
for the programs, and MP3Catalog should come soon with that. |

| There were some reports of trouble downloading. I am now
working to mirror most of the files on Simtel.net. So far, the Library Loan
Management System is ready, hold on for the others. I also
updated the downloads page to include file sizes. Still working
on the MP3 Catalog, stay tuned. |

| I've finally finished school so now the page will be updated
more frequently. The first update is a new version of the library
management system, and this time it's unrestricted. Coming
Soon SeanSoft MP3 Catalog. This program searches directories
for MP3 files, analyses them by their ID3 tag or filename, and
then adds them to an easily browsable database. Supports
exporting to various formats (TXT, M3U, PLS, HTML, SMP3DB), the
latter being a custom format so you can open catalogs later to
check for MP3 files available. Ideal for keeping track of MP3
stored on removable media (ie a CD-Rom). Communication with
Winamp through IPC is also supported. It'll be up as soon as I
get it together to distribute it. Look out for it soon. |
